Bismark park, formerly known as Maplewood park, and located near Carroll on the Hocking Valley railroad, and the Scioto Valley traction line will be the scene Sunday, July 11, of the outing of the Bismarck club. The property several months ago was purchased by the club and extensively improvements have been made.

A new gateway has been built, in the form of a large arch. Cement walks, cold storage plant and better roads have also been completed. The lake has been deepened and the grounds rid of rubish and underbrush. The South Side Business men, during the coming week will hold their outing at the park. The committee which is engaged in working up the Bismarck outing is composed of Frank J.

Felber, Henry T. Linke, Edward Frass, Herman Frech and Henry Mason. Mrs. William Hall of North High street, who has been ill several weeks with a nervous break down is now confined to her bed with pneu monia. She is improving slowly.

LIEUTENANT BRAUER This is Lieutenant Brauer, either first officer or executive officer of the Prinz Eitel Fredrich, the interned German war vessel at Norfolk, who has been missing for some time, notwithstanding the implied promise of the commander of the vessel to keep all his men within reach. it is believed by the Federal authorities that Brauer has left the country with some other members of the crew.

Collector Hamilton at Norfolk has learned that Brauer left the vessel before she was officially interned. The commander, he said, promised that none of his men would leave the ship without guard, and Admiral Beatty had given permission for the officers to go about in a territory restricted to Newport News and nearby places. Braver, the commander now admits is not on the vessel. Surgeon Nolte of the Eitel Friedrich, it was reported, was arrested the other day, disguised as a cook on an Italian steamship at Algeciras. Frear, Adds Two New Ones to His Force. Misses Lois Cox and Eunice VanDeGriff have accepted clerkships at the George W. Frear general store on East Main street. For the present these two clerks help out on Saturdays and busy days in addition to the regular force of help at the store. Will Tague, Frank Yenrick.

Henrietta Belt, widow of the late Tallman Belt, of Pleasant township, are in receipt of the sad news of her death which occurred in Circleville on Friday morning, June 18th, at ten o'clock, after an illness of only two weeks, although she had been failing health for the past two year's. Mra. Belt was born in Lancaster, on 1 May 9, 1828, and celebrated her eighty-seventh birthday, only few weeks ago. She had lived in Lancaster and Fairfield county nearly all her long life, and was known and esteemed by a wide circle of relatives and friends who loved her for her many excellent qualities of mind and heart, her cheerful disposition, and her unfailing generosity which never failed to go to the relief of the poor and needy. She was a faithful and consistent member of the Methodist church.

She was the eighth daughter of Jacob and Elinor Shaeffer and was born in the two-story brick building on Main street which was erected by her father shortly after he and his brother, Frederick A. Shaeffer, came to this city from Lancaster couunty, Pennsylvania, in 1809. She was a bright and ready speaker and could relate many incidents of the early days which were of interest and value to students of pioneer history. Of her father's large family, only two children now remain-Mr. Jacob Shaeffer of Tarlton, and Mr.

Theodore Shaeffer of this city. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, among whom are Mrs. H. E. Field of East Mulberry street, and Mr.

Henry Eckert of Berne township. About ten years ago Mrs. Belt removed to Circleville where she has since made her home, coming back each summer to visit until two years ago when she was no longer able to make the trip. Funeral services will' be conducted at her home in Circleville on Monday morning at 10 o'clock and interment was made in Forest Rose cemetery. FORTY-NINTH Annual Encampment of Department of Ohio, G.

A. R. in Mansfield, June 21-25-Pleasant Reunion Anticipated by the Boys in Blue. The Forty- annual encampment of the Department of Ohio, Grand Army of the Republic, will be held from June 21-25 inclusive and for several days the boys of '61-'65 in their coats of blue, with Grand Army buttons and regimental badges have been making their way toward, Mansfield in pleasant anticipation of their yearly reunion, and the city which was for 80 many years the home of John Sherman is doing every thing in her power to show them honor. To the soldiers the parade is the most enjoyable feature of the encampment and one old soldier of ninety, announces that he is ready for the march, for the spirit which carried them through the war of the rebellion is still unquenched.

Splendid campfires have been arranged for. Governor Willis will speak at the one on Tuesday evening leaving Mansfield later for his trip to the Panama Exposition. He is 8 member of No. 1 camp, Sons of of Columbus, and is the first son of a veteran to be governor of Ohio, although she has had many soldier governors. Lancaster patriotic societies will be represented at the Mansfield encampment as follows: Grand Army--William H.

Strode, past commander; John Feigley, delegate, Dr. G. A. Harman, past department commander: Capt. James M.

Roberts, past department senior vice commander; Comrades Thomas Erick, Dennis Piper, M. H. Cowden, and H. I. Blaire.

Woman's Relief Corps- Mrs. Sadie Nisley, Corps president; Mrs. Cornelia Riegel, delegate; Mrs. Catherine Crook and Mry. Amanda Rodecker.
